About the Firm
Richard Altmark, Scott Rotter and Jeffrey Saff initially formed Altmark, Rotter, Saff & Trock in October of 1992. At that time all three attorneys were working for different firms and realized that we wished to come together and form a firm that could really help people. Frank Trock joined the firm on January 1, 2008. With our no nonsense, aggressive approach, we have been able to very effectively represent thousands of people in all types of legal matters and have recovered millions of dollars for our clients.
One of the things that we learned very early in our careers was that sometimes insurance companies do not behave as we would hope. As a result, we have found that we are frequently required to actually take cases to trial. Because of this experience, we do not fear trying cases, be it before a Jury or Judge. This puts us in a very good position to make certain that our clients receive every dime to which they are entitled-not just what an insurance company may offer or feel is adequate.
Over the years, our practice has become concentrated in helping people in the pursuit of Workers' Compensation claims, automobile accidents claims and other accident matters. We have, however, also continued to represent our clients in many other types of cases as well. For example, we are frequently called upon to become involved in criminal and traffic matters, Motor Vehicle Administration hearings, medical malpractice matters, Social Security Disability claims and more.
A very big criticism of attorneys is that they do not return telephone calls-or do so very slowly. It is directly because we are aware of this problem that we have more support staff than other firms our size. Our philosophy is that while we may incur greater operating costs with our larger staff, this makes us much better able to serve our clients' needs. Additionally, this arrangement allows the attorney to have a specific case manager/paralegal always working on that file with him at any given time and our clients always have a point of contact in the event that the attorney is unavailable.
We also do not "nickel and dime" our clients, like many of our competitors, by charging fees for handling such things as PIP (personal injury protection) applications and vehicle property damage issues related to automobile accidents. Our belief is that this is all part of the service that we will provide if we are handling the case.
